FlyATM4E is in SESAR 3 JU e-news!

The video created by the FlyATM4E project to explain how aviation can become climate-friendly has been featured in the October edition of the SESAR 3 JU e-news. Entitled “Identifying future pathways for sustainable aviation”, this section of the newsletter introduces the topic explained in this video interview by Sigrun Matthes, DLR researcher and project coordinator. … More FlyATM4E is in SESAR 3 JU e-news!

Sigrun Matthes: “We are working towards identifying future pathways for sustainable aviation”

How can we ensure global air mobility that minimizes resource use and climate effects? Sigrun Matthes is a researcher at the DLR and coordinator of the FlyATM4E project. In the following video she answers the above question, and also offers some explanations on the following ones:

FlyATM4E will be at the GARS webinar “Accounting for aviation non-CO2 impacts in the EU ETS”

The FlyATM4E project is participating today in the virtual webinar “Accounting for aviation non-CO2 Impacts in the EU ETS” organized by the German Aviation Research Society GARS. Members of the project from DLR will outline the results of the FlyATM4E work and give an update on the progress of operational flight trials to minimise contrail … More FlyATM4E will be at the GARS webinar “Accounting for aviation non-CO2 impacts in the EU ETS”

Zero Emissions Day

A day as today, designated as the Zero Emissions Day, the FlyATM4E project team would like to raise awareness about aviation-induced contribution to climate change by sharing some good science news in the field of aviation. Take a look!

FlyATM4E at the TAC-5

Last week the FlyATM4E project was represented by our team at the 5th International Conference on Transport, Atmosphere and Weather (TAC-5) held in Bad Aibling, Germany. Their presentation was on the “Concept for integrating uncertainties when identifying climate-optimized aircraft trajectories: FlyATM4E.” Get in touch to learn more about the concept!
